The St. Andrews School Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is a committed group of parents/guardians who work with the school staff to support the educational and social aspects of all St. Andrews School students. We fundraise for school programming, resources and equipment, improvements to school areas such as the library and playground, staff recognition and more. All parents and guardians are welcome to join us in helping our children thrive at school.

PAC Meetings
PAC meets on the third Monday of each month, from 7-8pm in the school Library. Everyone is welcome!
- Free childcare is provided! Children of meeting attendees will be cared for by a middle school or high school student in a room adjacent to the library.
- If the third Monday of the month falls on a holiday, we meet the following Monday.

Hot Lunches

Information about the hot lunch schedule and menu for the 2024-2025 school year has been sent home to families.
PAC organizes hot lunches for the school. We use the online ordering system, MunchaLunch, which lets parents/guardians easily place orders online and pay by credit card.
The hot lunch program at the school is a PAC fundraiser and as something fun and exciting for the students (and parents!) to look forward to.
Fundraising
Our PAC runs several fundraising initiatives each school year and has donated funds towards classroom materials and books, musical instruments and music resources, physical education equipment, playground equipment, and a full renovation of our school library, among other things. Watch this space for news about our next fundraiser.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our recent fundraisers!
In the Community
PAC's main target population is, of course, the school's students and staff. However, the school area, situated next door to the St. Andrews Community Club, encompasses much more than just the school itself.
Through the students and with the help of families, we, in fact, bring our community together in this historically important area. St. Andrews School, founded in 1827, is the oldest school in operation in Western Canada and is one of the largest elementary schools in the Lord Selkirk School Division. It is also situated across the street from the oldest stone church in Western Canada - the St. Andrews on the Red, and next door to the historic St. Andrews Rectory, both which are designated heritage sites.
With such a history and strong community, PAC is working to enhance the recreational opportunities for the over 5,000 people that live in the South St. Andrews area. PAC's main goal is to help support our children in becoming healthy, strong, and educated individuals.
