Swimming lessons are a part of the Grade 4 and 5 physical education curriculum in the Lord Selkirk School Division.

Students will require swimwear, towel and a waterproof bag to carry their swim supplies. It is recommended that students bring a padlock and key to secure their clothing in the available lockers. Jewelry, watches, cell phones, money, or other valuables should not be taken to swim classes.

Classes are held at the Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive High School in Selkirk. LSSD buses will transport students to and from swimming classes. Swim classes are delivered by qualified instructors. Students participate in the Swim @ School program. It is structured so students acquire knowledge about their own swimming skills and abilities.

Information as to when the swim program will take place each year will be communicated to families once swim class times are determined.
